Terms of use
Draft for review. Not yet final.
These terms apply to your use of Placet during the beta.
The service
Placet gives you an AI assistant with its own email address, and optionally its own messaging and calling, that acts for you. It proposes actions; trust rules you set and approvals you give decide what goes out.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for what you approve and for the trust rules you set.
- Do not use Placet to send spam, to harass anyone, or to contact people who asked not to be contacted. Emails go out as your assistant, texts and calls to new people say they come from an AI assistant, and anyone who replies STOP or asks not to be contacted again is never contacted by your assistant again. You are responsible for what you approve and for what your trust rules let through.
- Messages are checked before they go out. One that looks like a threat, harassment, fraud, phishing or spam waits for your approval; a likely threat or fraud waits for a person at Placet to check it first, and we may block it.
- Keep your devices and passkeys safe. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access.
Limits
Plans have daily and monthly limits, shown on your account page. We may pause an account, or all accounts, to protect people from misuse.
The beta
Placet is in beta. It may change, and it may be unavailable at times. AI can make mistakes: read what you approve.
Payment
The Paid plan is billed monthly through Stripe and can be cancelled at any time from your account page; it then ends at the close of the period you paid for.
